Ryan and Stacy Witcher bought a four-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 252 Anthony St. in Glen Ellyn from Bank New York for $615,500 on Aug. 17.

Bank of New York foreclosed on the property in April 2009. The 3,870-square-foot house, which was built in 2006, is in the Glen Ellyn North neighborhood.

Mr. Witcher is the senior engineering manager and software architect at TVWorks, a provider of software solutions that power advanced cable services. Prior to this, he was a senior software engineer at Modulant and Consilient, a senior engineer at Modem Media and a senior consultant at Ernst & Young LLP.

He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in electrical engineering.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 240 sales in Glen Ellyn in 2008, with a median price of $327,500.
