Joseph and Megan Devaney bought a four-bedroom, three-bath townhome at 1155 W. George St. in Lake View from Dr. Timothy B. Rapp and Ann E. Dustman for $737,500 on Sept. 10.

Rapp and Dustman bought Unit #4 for $680,000 in July 2005. The 5,952-square-foot unit is part of the George Street Townhomes, which were built in 1997.

Mr. Devaney is an associate in the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn LLP. He focuses his practice on commercial lending transactions, structured financing and other corporate finance and general corporate transactions.

He obtained his B.A. in history from Miami University in 1997 and his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 2001.

Dr. Rapp is an assistant professor at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He sees his patients at Loyola Outpatient Center and Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center.

He earned his B.S. in 1993 and M.D. in 1997 from the University of Iowa. He finished his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Washington.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 1,115 home sales in Lake View in 2008, with a median sales price of $330,000.
