Dr. Ki Casey Shim and Violet Shim sold a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 233 E. 13th St. in the South Loop to Fouzia Laytimi and Harald Beutel for $520,000 on Sept. 8.

The Shims bought the property for $485,000 in April 2005. The 1,346-square-foot Unit #1902 is one of 207 condos at Museum Pointe, which built in 2005.

Dr. Shim is an internist in Chicago. He is affiliated with Swedish Covenant Hospital, St. Jospeh Hospital and Advocate Masonic Medical Center.

He earned his M.D. from Choongang University College of Medicine in South Korea and completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Hospital.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 603 condo sales in the South Loop in 2008, with a median price of $295,000.
