Shure project manager, social worker buy in Elmhurst

Medium 8fc67225e2a052e4cc7907c96c00782e Karl and Lindsay Janowski bought a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 493 S. Stratford Ave. in Elmhurst from Noreen and Roger Stedronsky for $517,000 on Oct. 13.

The 2,775-square-foot house was built in 1942 in the Elmhurst South neighborhood.

Mr. Janowski is a product development project manager at Shure, a maker of microphones and audio electronics. He previously was a systems engineer, senior embedded software engineer and audio circuitry development engineer with the company.

He earned his M.B.A. in international business, marketing and finance from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and an electrical engineering degree in audio and digital circuitry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Ms. Janowski is a clinical social worker and therapist specializing in crisis and trauma, relationship issues and depression. She has practiced in Oak Park.

She graduated from the University of Chicago.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 372 home sales in Elmhurst during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $339,000.
