Packaging company exec deals Wheaton 4BD

Medium 0fb7ecabe5a089eb7a433c033e3e6798 Darin and Terese DeBlander sold a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 1926 Middleton Court in Wheaton to Simon Kringas and Christina D. Metropoulos for $590,000 on Oct. 16.

The DeBlanders paid $635,000 for the property in Aug. 2008. The 3,666-square-foot house was built in 1986 in the Seven Gables neighborhood.

Mr. DeBlander is the director of global equipment operations at Scholle Packaging, a packaging company for food, beverage and industrial markets. He previously was the president of Winpak Lane.

He earned his M.B.A. in management in 1996 from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and his B.S.M.E. in 1990 from the University of Dayton. He also attended California State University-Long Beach.

Ms. DeBlander is a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer in Wheaton. She specializes on fitness and corporate wellness management. She has been a health and P.E. instructor at various colleges in Illinois.

She holds a master's in exercise science.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 418 home sales in Wheaton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $288,000.
