Ms. Song bought the property for $660,000 in June 2002.

The 2,980-square-foot house, built in 1951 at Marshall Field, is in Downers Grove Central.

Mr. Venkatachalam is a supervisor at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois in the Greater Chicago Area.

He has previously worked as a lead technical consultant at Perficient, Inc., an IT consulting firm in St. Louis. He also worked as principal consultant with Cap Gemini Sogeti Inc.

He attended Bharathiar University, University of Illinois at Chicago and DePaul University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 339 home sales in Downers Grove during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $308,500.
