Law school professor acquires 2BD condo

Medium d374a30c949e0595fe1ee978160f3cc5 Erin M. McGinley bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 1074 N. Marshfield Ave. in the Ukrainian Village from YuChen Lin for $365,000 on Jan. 29.

Lin bought the property for $350,000 in July 2004. The 1,275-square-foot Unit #3 is one of three condos in the development at 1074 N. Marshfield Ave., which was built in 2002.

McGinley is a part-time faculty at the Loyola University School of Law, where she teaches legal writing. She also serves as a clerk for the Honorable Ann C. Williams of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Prior to this, she served in the litigation group of Schiff Hardin & Waite and as an assistant director of a center providing services to homeless persons in Portland.

She obtained her degree from Notre Dame University and J.D. from Loyola University in Chicago.

Lin is the emerging markets fixed income portfolio manager at UBS Global Asset Management. He formerly worked as an equity analyst at Chief Securities Investment Co.

He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and St. Cloud State University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 139 condo sales in the Ukrainian Village during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $363,750.
