The 1,849-square-foot house was built in 1917 in East Wilmette.

Dr. De Freitas practices pediatric cardiology and internal medicine in Chicago. He is affiliated with Central Dupage Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Children's Memorial Hospital.

He received his M.D. from the University of California David Geffen School of Medicine, completed his residencies at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Medical Center, and served his fellowships at Boston University Medical Center and Children's Hospital.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 270 sales in Wilmette during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $550,000.
