He received his bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and his M.B.A. in finance and strategy from the University of Chicago-Booth School of Business.

The Merrilds sold condos at 2126 W. Crystal St. in Wicker Park and at 1648 W. Augusta Blvd. in Ukrainian Village.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 36 home sales in Green Oaks during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $460,000.
