Mr. Mellody paid $1.08 million for the property in Dec. 2007. The 3,285-square-foot house was built in 1995 in Monroe School/Northwest Hinsdale subdivision. It is located in Hinsdale West.

Mr. Mellody is group president of North America and general manager for Global Marketing at Nufarm Finances. Prior to that, he was sensor management group.

He holds a degree in agricultural science.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 264 home sales in Hinsdale during the past 12 months, with a median sale price of $776,750.
