Brett C. Neubert and Linda M. Taliani bought a one-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo at 161 E. Chicago Ave. in Gold Coast from North Star Trust Co. for $550,000 on Sept. 11.

The 1,454-square foot Unit #36H is one of 292 condos at the Olympia Centre, which was built in 1987.

Mr. Neubert is the director of investments at Robertson Opportunity Capital Partners Inc. A chartered financial analyst, he is also a member of the AIMR and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. Before he joined RO Capital, he worked for Banc One Capital Markets for 12 years.

He graduated from DePauw University with a B.A. in economics. He obtained his M.B.A. in finance from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 581 sales in Gold Coast in 2008, with a median sales price of $353,500.
