Eugene B. Katz and Liliya Yampolskaya bought a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 762 Links Court in Riverwoods from Alexander Gonikman and Valerie Gonikman for $930,000 on Sept. 15.

The 5,395-square-foot house was built in 1999 in the South of Deerfield Road neighborhood.

Mr. Katz is a investment banker with over 10 years of experience. He serves as the senior vice president of Hovde Financial. He also serves on the Board of Directors of CenTrust Bank in Deerfield.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and Investments with a concentration in International Studies from Babson College, Massachusetts. He is a native of Russia.

Ms. Gonikman has been an I.T. manager at Accenture.

Prior to that, she was a lead enterprise architect at CSC. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and Kharkiv Polytechnic University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 27 home sales in Riverwoods in 2008, with a median sales price of $628,139.
