Dr. Kojiro Matsumoto and Kana Matsumoto bought a four-bedroom, four-bath home at 1436 Deerfield Road in Deerfield from Olga Bensky Pape for $568,000 on Nov. 25.

Pape paid $380,000 for the property in August 2010. The 2,844-square-foot home in Deerfield Northwest was built in 1957. It is located in the Deerfield Manor subdivision.

According to the SIU Center for Family Medicine website, Dr. Matsumoto is a resident of the family medicine program at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

He earned his M.D. from Nagasaki Daigaku Igakubu.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 362 home sales in Deerfield during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $339,000.
