Child dermatologist buys Williamsburg condo for $1.55M

Dr. Robert L. Buka bought a four-bedroom, three-bath condo at 138 Broadway in Williamsburg-North Side/South Side from Pia Mollback-Verbic and John R. Verbic for $1.55 million on Dec. 22.

Dr. Buka is a pediatric dermatologist and is affiliated with Mount Sinai Medical Center and four other hospitals in New Jersey. He is the creator of Doctor Bobby's Skin Caring for Kids, a kid-friendly and irritant-free skincare line just for children.

He received his M.D. from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago and completed a dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.

Ms. Mollback-Verbic, a qualitative research consultant, is the founder of Modus Research. She extended the firm services in Bombay, India in 2007.

She has taught at the Mudra Institute of Communication in Ahmedabad and worked for Loran Marketing Group, a custom market research company in Chicago. Previously, she worked as an editorial assistant at Reuters news agency and an interviewer for AC Nielsen in Copenhagen, Denmark.

She received her M.A. in communication studies and Danish from Roskilde University in Denmark.

There were 196 condo sales in Williamsburg-North Side/South Side in 2008, with a median sales price of $699,000.
