Online brokerage exec acquires 5BD home in Crown Heights

Medium 436615b12f8b500edc795f935b9cf75c Abiola Oke and Farrah Desir bought a five-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 1240 Carroll St. in Brooklyn from Mary L. Sims and Gizzette Webb for $605,000 on Sept. 21.

The 2,540-square-foot house, which was built in 1899, is in the Crown Heights South neighborhood.

Oke is the compensation consultant at TD Ameritrade, a global online broker, founded in 1971 and headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.

Prior to this, he served as compensation analyst at New York and Company, data & compensation analyst at Morgan Stanley and policy analyst at Legacy Benefits Corporation.

He had studied at City University of New York City College and Howard University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,681 sales in Brooklyn in 2008, with a median price of $450,000.
