MTV Networks exec buys Cobble Hill condo

Medium 1c22d44bd818a7cefd1963f15eea38b8 Laurence S. Hewitt and Mika Shirota bought a one-bedroom, one-bath condo at 200 Congress St. in Brooklyn from William Ciffairy for $470,000 on Sept. 1.

The six-story condo development at 200 Congress St. was built in 1952 in the Cobble Hill neighborhood.

Hewitt is president of ACME Paranormal and a project portfolio director at MTV Networks in New York City.

He joined MTV Networks as a project portfolio manager. Before that, he worked in production at Show & Tell Productions and Comedy Central. He also was an executive producer at Exodus Communications and producer at Time Inc. New Media, AT&T Downtown Digital and Prodigy Services Co.

He attended the School of Visual Arts and New York University.

Shirota is owner of Terayashiki Japan Inc. and a sales operation manager at Nanette Lepore Inc., a New York-based designer and marketer of fashion apparels.

She formerly was a senior consultant at Exodus Communications K.K. She also worked as a senior account executive at Global OnLine Japan.

She has a B.A. in English literature and linguistics from Hiroshima Jogakuin University and a B.A. in liberal arts from Simon Fraser University. He also attended the interactive telecommunication program at New York University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 1,522 condo sales in Brooklyn during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $285,000.
