Radiologist acquires condo in Prospect Heights

Medium 2fe6e559330a1c8bc3e5e8a651de6bcd Steven M. Ostrow bought a condo at 117 Sterling Place Unit #19 in Prospect Heights from Elif A. Bali and Frederick Holland for $625,000 on Nov. 9.

Bali and Holland paid $649,000 for the property in May 2006. The condo is one of the 19 units in the four-story condo development at 117 Sterling Place

Dr. Ostrow is a radiologist. He has been affiliated with Brooklyn University Hospital, Kings County Hospital Center and the University Hospital of Brooklyn.

He earned his M.D. from Hackensack Medical Center and completed his residency at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine.

Bali is vice president of hotel acquisitions and development at Loews Hotels. She teaches a graduate level hotel market analysis class at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

She most recently was vice president at the real estate investment banking firm, Sonnenblick-Goldman Company. Prior to that, she worked at HVS International, a private hospitality consulting firm. She also worked in hotel operations at Hyatt Hotels.

She graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 54 condo sales in Prospect Heights during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $617,500.
