Joseph E. Bernat sold a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 29 Highland Ave. in Buffalo to Jeremy T. Yolken and Amy K. Abrahamson for $395,000 on Dec. 15.

Dr. Bernat paid $360,000 for the property in West Ferry in Nov. 2006. The 2,559-square-foot home was built in 1889.

Dr. Bernat is an associate professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he is also the associate dean for hospital and external affairs. In addition to his responsibilities at SUNY, he also serves as a clinical service director at Kaleida Health, a medical director at the Craniofacial Center of Western New York and a pediatric dentistry consultant at Erie County Medical Center.

He holds a D.D.S., an M.S. in oral science and a pediatric dentistry certificate from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 57 home sales in Delaware-West Ferry during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $180,000.
