Branlyn E. Werba and Joseph J. Derosa bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 2059 Pemberton St. in Schuylkill from Michael C. Banks for $439,000 on Oct. 7.

Banks paid $473,800 for the property in May 2006. The 1,800-square-foot house was built in 1910.

Werba is a staff psychologist at The Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. She specializes in pediatric psychology and family and child adaptation to serious illness.

She received her Ph.D. in clinical and health psychology at the University of Florida-Gainesville and completed his internship and fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 283 home sales in Schuylkill during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $266,000.
