Glass artist, professor unloads Pennsport home

Medium e341fa9f355c63df9b625f22884c46fb Lucartha Kohler sold a 2,432-square-foot home at 915 S. Second St. in Pennsport to Paul Rodriguez and Bridget Foy for $350,000 on Sept. 11.

The three-story, 2,432-square-foot townhouse was built in 1920.

Kohler is a glass artist and has taught as a glass professor at Salem County Community College, The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass, Wheaton Village, Newark Museum, Mason Gross School of Art and Rutgers University.

She wrote the book, Glass: A Medium For Artists, in 1999, and Women Working With Glass in 2003.

She attended the Carnegie Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh, the Moore College of Art in Philadelphia and the Penland School of Crafts.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 438 home sales in Pennsport during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $163,243.
