Doctor settles in Fairmount

Medium 3bc028fac3cad373d1bce2f23368a92c Pamela Cines and Benjamin Fishman bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 821 N. Beechwood St. in Philadelphia from James and Christine Papa for $465,000 on Nov. 30.

The 1,935-square-foot home in Fairmount was built in 1920.

Dr. Cines is an attending physician at the Lankenau Hospital of the Academic Hospitalist Program in Wynnewood.

She earned her M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Mr. Papa is an associate at the New Jersey office of the law firm Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. The areas of his practice include insurance law and litigation, toxic tort and worker's compensation. He most recently was an assistant district attorney with Lawrence County.

He holds a B.S. in psychology and a J.D. from Slippery Rock University and Case Western Reserve University School of Law, respectively. He is also a graduate of the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle.

Ms. Papa is an associate at the Philadelphia office of the law firm Kent & McBride, P.C. She focuses her practice on workers compensation litigation.

She has a B.A. in philosophy from John Carroll University and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University.

Cines also owns a condo at 2601 Pennsylvania Ave. Unit #2601 in Fairmount. She paid $255,400 for the property in July 2005.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 17,235 home sales in Philadelphia during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $96,000.
