English professor swaps Cedar Park 3BD townhome

Medium 5daa4fa2098dd708825495c6b067b17f Bakirathi Mani and Mario Martin Ruiz bought a three-bedroom, one-bath townhome at 6 University Mew in Philadelphia from Jon A. Kenniston and Julia A. Kenniston for $346,000 on Oct. 18.

The Kennistons paid $300,000 for the property in May 2006. The 1,152-square-foot house was built in 1925 in Cedar Park.

Ms. Mani is associate professor in the department of English Literature, as well as coordinator in Gender and Sexuality Studies program at Swarthmore College.

She obtained a Ph.D. in modern thought and literature and a Ph.D. in minor in cultural and social anthropology from Stanford University and received her M.A. in modern Indian history from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Centre for Historical Studies in New Delhi, India. She completed her B.S.F.S. in non-western history and diplomacy, and a certificate in Asian studies from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service-Washington, D.C.
