Wharton's financial services exec grabs Chestnut Hill 3BD

Medium 9145875f0685a01e3ac965b3fb05fe1b Lorraine Truten bought a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 8610 Prospect Ave. in Chestnut Hill from Lester R. Mayer, Jr., for $565,000 on Sept. 8.

The 2,311-square-foot house was built in 1895.

Truten is a senior director for financial services in the executive education at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to that, she was vice president and executive director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc., and was president at the Morgan Stanley Fund Distribution Inc. and the Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Trust. She also was president and chief executive officer at the MAS funds group of Miller, Anderson & Sherrerd.

She attended the University of Pennsylvania.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 80 home sales in Chestnut Hill during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $420,000.
