Mr. Gelfand is the fixed income adviser and manager at First Fiduciary Investment Counsel Inc., which offers investment management services.

He previously founded of Gelfand, Quinn & Associates Inc., which was an ash management firm. He also established Gelfand Partners Asset Management. He was the president of the Cleveland Association for Business Economics and part of the Cleveland Society of Security analysts.

He received his bachelor's degree from Miami University. He also attended the Columbia University School of Banking and Case Western Reserve University.
