Harry and Patricia Maue bought a three-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 27023 N. Sandstone Springs Road in Unincorporated Rio Verde from Carlson Homes LLC for $1 million on Oct. 29.

The 3,658-square-foot house was built in 2007 in the Tonto Verde subdivision.

Mr. Maue has been a chairman and the chief executive officer of Stuart Maue Mitchell & James Ltd., a legal auditing firm in St. Louis that he formed in 1985.

He earned a bachelor's in business administration from Upper Iowa University in 1976, a law degree from the University of San Gabriel College of Law in 1979, an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University in 1980 and a Ph.D. from St. Louis University in 1985.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 37 home sales in Unincorporated Rio Verde during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $346,900.
