ASPCA attorney sells $1M Columbus Common condo

Kelly M. Slavitt and Joshua J. Slavitt sold the condo Unit GF at 110 W. 90th St. on the Upper West Side to Ruth Pawel for $1.0891 milllion on Dec. 17.

Ms. Slavitt works as a corporate counsel at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

Prior to joining the ASPCA, she was an associate at Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner, LLP. She also worked as a solicitor at Allens Arthur Robinson and as an associate at Skadden Arps.

She graduated from Pennsylvania State University and earned her master's from New York University. She also holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and an LL.M. in intellectual property from Yeshiva University Benjamin N. Cardozo, School of Law.

Mr. Slavitt is a public affairs consultant and director of Issues Management at Forum Strategies & Communications.

He has held several principal positions such as principal at Joshua J. Slavitt & Associates, senior director of Government Affairs at Altria Corporate Services and director of External Affairs at PMMC. He earned his B.A. in government from Colby College.

Pawel is a psychotherapist in Great Neck.

There are 59 units in the five-story building at 110 W. 90th St., which is also known as Columbus Common. It was constructed in 1986.

Sales at Columbus Common rose 66.7 percent from 2006-2007. The median sales price, however, dropped 44.2 percent during that time period.

There have been 1,707 sales on the Upper West Side in 2008, with a median sales price of $$840,000.
