Unit #9B is one of 102 in the building, which dates back to 1947.

Mr. Karahan is a developer and currently serves as the president and chief executive officer at The Karahan Co., a construction development firm in Plano, Texas.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 984 home sales on the Upper East Side in 2008, with a median sales price of $895,000.
