Former Morgan Stanley exec spends $6M in Lincoln Square

Medium 42ee8c3cb535eaa4eae0410882179acf David H. Sidwell bought condo Unit #20J at 25 Central Park W. in Lincoln Square from Philip Shale Thomas for $6 million on Aug. 26.

Mr. Sidwell is the retired vice president and CFO of Morgan Stanley-New York. He served the firm from March 2004 until Oct. 2007.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked with JPMorgan Chase & Co. New York, where he held several different positions. He also worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in both London and New York. He graduated from Cambridge University in England.

There are 850 units in the 32-story building at 25 Central Park W., which is also known as The Century Condominium. It was constructed in 1932.

According to BlockShopper.com,, there were 236 condo sales in Lincoln Square in 2008, with a median sales price of $1,108,460.
