Marcelo Osvaldo Magnasco and Mayte Suarez Farinas sold condo Unit #2J at 505 E. 79th St. in Yorkville for $610,000 to Anthony Michael Napolitano and Reagan Nunnally on Sept. 2.

Magnasco paid $675,000 for the property in June 2005.

Magnasco is a professor and head of the Laboratory of Mathematical Physics at Rockefeller University in New York City.

He graduated with bachelor's degree in physics from the National University of La Plata in Argentina and received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago.

Suarez-Farinas is a research associate and biostatistician and currently working in the Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology at Rockefeller University.

She completed a master's in mathematics at the University of Havana, as well as a master's in statistics and a Ph.D. in decision support methods from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 197 condo sales in Yorkville during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $610,000.
