Literary agents spend $1.25M for Upper West Side condo

Medium 8817cfdd54b66664e34479e5e7cba8ee Priscilla N. Gilman and Lynn Nesbit bought a condo at 681 Amsterdam Ave. on the Upper West Side from Lancelot Braunstein and Christine Braunstein for $1.25 million on Sept. 4.

The Braunsteins paid $1.225 million for Unit #7A in Nov. 2006.

Nesbit is a partner and literary agent at Janklow & Nesbit Associates, a literary agency with offices in New York and London.

Gilman also works at Janklow & Nesbit Associates. She earned her Ph.D. in English literature at Yale University.

Mr. Braunstein has worked at Goldman Sachs and as a scientist for NASA and NOAA. He earned his B.A. in mathematics from University of Rochester, his M.S. in physics from Colorado State University and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 161 condo sales on the Upper West Side during the past months, with a median sales price of $850,000.
