Anthony and Catherine Gonchar bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 18856 S.E. 42nd St. in Issaquah from Kathy and Stephen S. McDonald for $1.798 million on Sept. 16.

The McDonalds paid $1.125 million for the property in Sept. 2004. The 3,160-square-foot house was built in 1976 in the Lindley Farm subdivision.

Mr. Gonchar recently has been executive vice president of sales and marketing at Virtuoso, a leisure travel network business.

He previously worked for an online travel company Expedia Inc. as vice president of private label and later was vice president of distribution marketing and alliance partnerships. Earlier, he was partner of database marketing at Bozell and a former marketing manager director at Bank of America.

He attended Hobart and William Smith College in New York.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 632 home sales in Issaquah in 2008, with a median sales price of $511,000.
