Architecture graduate buys Central District 2BD

Medium 80abc6a2474ceccf15d24d4bb059a569 Davila Parker-Garcia and Wojciech Szczerba bought a two-bedroom, one-bath home at 202 16th Ave. in Seattle's Central District from Michael R. Hilow for $310,000 on Sept. 29.

The 894-square-foot house was built in 1942 in the subdivision of Hallers.

Parker-Garcia is an architecture graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

She previously was in green products research and Web formatting at Green Building Pages, a Web resource guide developed by Habitat Studio.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 331 home sales in Seattle's Central District in 2008, with a median sales price of $388,000.
