Kit helicopter manufacturing co. CEO sells in Lake City

Medium 914246f4c45ebb729d019122966eb771 Grant N. Norwitz sold a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 10367 44th Ave. N.E. in Lake City to Stephen J. Melson for $547,000 on Oct. 9.

The 1,620-square-foot home was built in 1959 in the Meadowbrook subdivision.

Norwitz is chairman of Rotorway Holdings Ltd. and chief executive officer of RotorWay International, a kit helicopter manufacturer based in Phoenix, Ariz.

He previously was a marketing director at Bio Preserve Medical, a Seattle-based biotech company. He also co-founded and was executive vice president of Rainbow Aviation and Electronics & Specialized Peripherals. Earlier in his career, he worked as a technician at M&D Engineering and at ADCO.

He has an M.D.T. certificate from Wits Technicon.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 344 sales in Lake City in 2008, with a median sales price of $400,000.
