Po-Ying Chan-Hui bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 2485 132nd Ave. S.E. in Bellevue from Carol Ann Stephenson for $460,000 on Oct. 30.

The 1,850-square-foot house was built in 2000 in the Bellevue Central neighborhood.

Chan-Hui is director for in vitro pharmacology and assay development at Spaltudaq Corp., a biotechnology investment and development company.

He previously has been director of enabling applications at ACLARA Biosciences Inc. and a scientist of inflammation at Amgen Inc. He also has been a post-doctoral scientist of cellular interactions at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

He received his Ph.D. in immunology and molecular cellular biology in 1988 from the University of British Columbia and completed his post-doctoral fellow in cellular adhesion biology from Harvard Medical School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 773 home sales in Bellevue during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $480,000.
