Fine arts center V.P. scores Kirkland 5BD

Medium 5c638751fa0a6c4e4c499a1dcf5a320a Sheldon Drogin and Julianne Drogin bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 12832 71st Ave. N.E. in Kirkland from John C. Voneberstein and Von John C. Eberstein for $1 million on Aug. 28.

Voneberstein paid $1.135 million for the property in Feb. 2007. The 2,670-square-foot house was built in 1966 in the Finn Hill subdivision.

Mr. Drogin has been vice president of the board at the Fine Arts Center of Edmonds.

He previously directed the construction of the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland and led the quality training and education center for the material division of Boeing Co. He has taught at Seattle University, the University of Washington, the University of Phoenix and City University, and consulted with Alaska Airlines, Port of Tacoma, Snohomish PUD, Boeing and Seattle University.

He received his B.S. in mathematics and his M.A. in education from the University of Rochester, his M.A. in whole systems design from Antioch University and his Ed.D. from Seattle University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 195 home sales in Kirkland during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $389,500.
