Amazon board member grabs Central District 4BD

Medium aea1c1b0431cdbb3143a1792b6194985 Tom A. Alberg and Judith Beck bought a four-bedroom, 3.25-bath home at 1714 37th Ave. in Seattle's Central District from Katharine N. Reagan and Cory P. Reagan for $995,000 on Sept. 7.

The 2,940-square-foot house was built in 1930 in Observatory subdivision.

Alberg is a director for several Madrona portfolio companies: Impinj, Singlepoint, Physware and Mercent. He also serves on the board of Amazon.com and the national executive council of TechNet, and chairs the Seattle Foundation Investment Committee.

He previously was president of LIN Broadcasting Corporation and executive vice president of McCaw Cellular Communications Inc. Earlier, he was chair of the executive committee and partner in the Northwest's largest law firm, Perkins Coie.

He attended Harvard College and received his law degree from Columbia Law School.

Ms. Reagan has been regional vice president for sales at Gartner, where she also was senior account executive.

Earlier, she was channel manager at EMC Corporation and a regional sales manager at ADIC.

She attended Williams College and Vassar College.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 506 home sales in the Central District during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $462,500.
