She previously was vice president and director of staff relations at the Northeast division of Citibank in Long Island City. She also was FVP and senior HR generalist CGIB at Citigroup.

She received her bachelor's degree from the City University of New York - Brooklyn College.

Gartenstein has been vice president and regional manager at National Cooperative Bank in New York.

He graduated from City College.
