Emer Leahy and Donald Perun bought a five-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 176 Barnegat Road in Pound Ridge from Thomas Kwiatkowski for $1.695 million on Oct. 13.

Kwiatkowski paid $1.915 million for the property in Oct. 2007. The 5,467-square-foot house was built in 2002 in the Pound Ridge East neighborhood.

Leahy is president and chief executive officer at PsychoGenics, a leader in preclinical neurobiology and in the provision of CNS drug discovery solutions.

She has more than two decades of experience in behavioral research, as well as business development for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

She received her Ph.D. in neuropharmacology from University College Dublin and her M.B.A. from Columbia University in New York.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 18 home sales in Pound Ridge during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $950,000.
