The 3,000-square-foot house was built in 1923 in the Scarsdale North neighborhood.

Mr. Penfold is vice president for investment management division at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., a global financial services firm.

He previously was an emerging market economist at Goldman.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 127 home sales in Scarsdale during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1,087,500.
