Sidney and Carol Aroesty sold a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 15 Valley View Road in New Castle to Gerard and Christina O'Callaghan to $1.4 million on Oct. 15.

The Aroestys paid $1.575 million for the property in June 2007. The 2,021-square-foot home was built in 1952 in New Castle West.

Mr. Aroesty is managing director at TH Business Advisors LLC, a business advisory firm with offices in Buffalo, New York City and Rochester, as well as Boston, Massachusetts.

He previously was president, chief operating officer and board director at Diagnostic Products Corporation.

He graduated from the University of Rochester, where he has been a member of the trustee's council and the visiting committee at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Rochester.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 150 home sales in New Castle during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $757,500.
