Chris Tuininga and Amy R. Tuininga sold a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 142 Loring Ave. in Pelham to Liliana Arabia and Felix Matos for $967,000 on Oct. 16.

The 2,606-square-foot house was built in 1956 in the South of Lincoln Avenue neighborhood.

Mr. Tuininga works in executive compensation at Aetna in New York.

He previously was senior vice president for executive compensation at Lehman Bros. He also was a compensation consultant for Watson Wyatt and Aon Consulting.

He received his B.A. in history and economics from the University of Washington in 1990 and a master's degree in economics from Oregon State University in 1997.

Ms. Tuininga is a fungal ecology researcher at the Louis Calder Center in Armonk and at the Department of Biological Sciences of Fordham University.

She received her B.S. from the University of Washington and her Ph.D. from Oregon State University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 37 home sales in Pelham during the past 12 months, with median sales price of $707,500.
