Accounting executive duo buys Washington 2BD

Medium 0a51e62c70001cde02a33608d26ea1b0 Saima Tariq Fatemi and Michael Richard Wamsganz bought a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 512 H St. S.W. in Washington from US Bank National Association for $456,000 on Sept. 9.

The 1,330-square-foot house sold for $500,000 in Jan. 2006. It was built in 1966 in the neighborhood of Southwest Waterfront.

Saima Fatemi is a project manager of knowledge management at KPMG, an accounting firm.

She has previously served as a paralegal at Mir Law Associates, and as a research coordinator at SPARC, a non-profit organization.

She holds a bachelor's degree in political science and economics from St. Joseph's College (1994) and a master's degree in defense and strategic studies from Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad (1998).

Michael Wamsganz serves as senior managing in accounting at XM Satellite Radio.

He previously served as accounting manager at Universal Service Administrative Co.

He holds a B.S. in business administration, accounting, from Salem State College (1998).

There were 4,143 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
