Educational liaison sells $1M Capitol Hill 5BD

Medium b4823ad6df1e5dcfc3dbed5940135661 Dr. Shirley D. McCune sold a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 131 C St. S.E. in Washington to Elizabeth K. McIntyre and Richard McIntyre for $1 million on Aug. 31.

The 2,700-square-foot property sold for $1.4 million in Sept. 2006. It was built in 1880 in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill.

Dr. McCune is an educational liaison for the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction in Olympia.

She has a background in educational research, program management and state policy and was formerly president of Learning Trends in Washington, senior director of the Mid-Continental Regional Educational Laboratory in Colorado, and director of the state services division of the Education Commission of the States.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 100 home sales in Capitol Hill in 2008, with a median sales price of $763,500.
