Disaster relief specialist acquires Washington 4BD

Medium 00ef8283b684e0c29b651a71b64ad134 Michael M Zeleke and Angelita V Mills bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 318 U St. N.W. in Washington for $365,000 from First Savings Mortgage Corp. on Aug. 31.

The 2,238-square-foot house was built in 1907 in the Le Droit Park neighborhood.

Zeleke is a board member at Public Research Works, a non-profit research and public education organization.

He is a disaster relief specialist working with the U.S. Agency for International Development. He is a former marine, firefighter and canvasser and was named the American Refugee Committee Humanitarian Aid Worker of the Year in 1994.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,143 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
