Freddie Mac exec, law firm adviser pick Crestwood 4BD

Medium cf6bfae0c29a71e53a159b672891098b Douglas E. Escola and Anya L. Naschak bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 1725 Taylor St. N.W. Washington from Toni Towne Whitley and John H. Whitley for $680,000 on Sept. 23.

Mr. Whitley paid $309,000 for the property in May 2004. The 1,886-square-foot house was built in 1927 in the Crestwood neighborhood.

Escola has been a market risk management director at Freddie Mac.

Prior to that, he worked as a financial analyst II at U.S. Bancorp.

He received his B.A. in political science and political economy from Carleton College.

Naschak has been an adviser at Winston & Strawn LLP.

She previously worked as a consultant for InterChina Consulting and Independent Consulting. She also was senior international trade analyst at U.S. Department of Commerce, a marketing manager at Fabcon Inc. and project analyst at Norwest Mortgage Inc.

She attended Immersion Language Study, Carleton College and Francis Parker.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,155 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
