Psychiatrist buys political scientist's 3BD in North Cleveland Park

Medium ca2f3e06d38474f3c9e9df083c06ef25 Dr. Osama Mohamed Saleh bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 3723 Windom Place N.W. in Washington D.C. from Mervat F. Hatem and Ezzat Mohammad Abdel Wahab for $410,000 on Oct. 5.

The 1,245-square-foot house was built in 1927 in the North Cleveland Park neighborhood.

Dr. Saleh is a pediatric psychiatrist who has practiced at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, Md.

He received his M.D. from the Ain Shams University Medical School in 1983 and completed his residency at the Children's National Medical Center.

Hatem is a professor of political science at Howard University in D.C. She also is an activist and writer whose articles have appeared in several journals.

She received her B.A. in political science in 1971 and her M.A. in sociology in 1975 from the American University in Cairo. She obtained her M.A. (1976) and Ph.D. (1982) in political science from the University of Michigan.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,204 home sales in Washington, D.C. in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
