Lisa A. Mottet and Amanda J. Pearlman bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 13203 Camellia Dr. in Wheaton-Glenmont from George and Carolyn Brown for $455,000 on Oct. 13.

The 2,282-square-foot house was built in 1965 in the Wheaton-Glenmont East of Georgia Ave. neighborhood.

Mottet is the project director of the transgender civil rights project of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force in Washington, D.C. Prior to her current post, she was the organization's legislative lawyer. Previously, she was a board member with the legislative committee of Equality Washington, a statewide LGBT political organization.

She completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Washington and her law degree at the Georgetown University Law Center.
