LGBT organization project director buys 4BD home

Medium b1235dc1d2035dece4838e0e76bc0350 Lisa A. Mottet and Amanda J. Pearlman bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 13203 Camellia Dr. in Wheaton-Glenmont from George and Carolyn Brown for $455,000 on Oct. 13.

The 2,282-square-foot house was built in 1965 in the Wheaton-Glenmont East of Georgia Ave. neighborhood.

Mottet is the project director of the transgender civil rights project of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force in Washington, D.C. Prior to her current post, she was the organization's legislative lawyer. Previously, she was a board member with the legislative committee of Equality Washington, a statewide LGBT political organization.

She completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Washington and her law degree at the Georgetown University Law Center.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 699 home sales in Wheaton-Glenmont during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $280,000.
