Research firm CEO buys in Bethesda

Medium 9306ce123aa6fbb35f75cd2ebfc8176d William and Katherine Blot bought a three-bath home at 5044 Westpath Terrace in Bethesda for $950,000 from James and Rosemary Hartley on Oct. 21.

The 2,944-square-foot house was built in 1960 in the Bethesda South of Wilson Lane neighborhood.

Mr. Blot is the chief executive officer at International Epidemiology Institute, a biomedical research firm. He also serves as a professor of medicine at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He was chief of the analytic studies section of the environmental epidemiology branch and of the biostatistics branch at the National Cancer Institute.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 915 home sales in Bethesda during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $720,000.
