Leonard and Leslye Murphy bought a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 119 Lake St. in Gaithersburg from William and Denise Burns for $955,000 on Oct. 8.

Mr. and Ms. Burns paid $1.205 million for the property in Feb. 2005. The 4,146-square-foot house was built in 2000 in the Gaithersburg West of Eisenhower Highway neighborhood.

Mr. Murphy is a lawyer in Bethesda. His areas of practice include real estate law, probate, estate planning, business law, civil litigation and elder law.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. from the Duke University Law School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 884 home sales in Gaithersburg during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $313,000.
