NYU professor sells South Kensington 4BD

Medium 81d0aa62a88493f54199d4cd312bad75 David and Amy Poeppel sold a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 9705 E. Bexhill Dr. in South Kensington to Deborah L. Queenan and William K. Underwood for $975,000 on Oct. 27.

The 2,708-square-foot house was built in 1954 in the South Kensington East of Connecticut Ave. neighborhood.

Dr. Poeppel is a professor of psychology and neural science at New York University. He previously searched as a professor of linguistics and biology at the University of Maryland-College Park and he was a fellow at the American Academy, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Berlin and at the University of California-San Francisco School of Medicine.

He received his bachelor's degree (1990) and his doctorate degree (1995) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 110 home sales in South Kensington during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $640,000.
